Peter and Belinda are from Australia but reside in Singapore. Their love of Paris made it an easy choice as a destination for running off to get hitched. Holding the opinion that elopements should be spontaneous, they gave wedding planner Anne of Fete in France only eight days to arrange their big day.  Anne worked her magic, including offering us as wedding photographers, and all turn out beautifully without a hitch.

Here are a few more photos of Hilary and William’s Paris elopement we had posted recently. Anne of Fête in France set up an intimate ceremony in the gardens of the Rodin museum. The sculptor’s famous work, The Thinker, has become such a cultural icon in the west that it’s not uncommon to come across statuettes in schools everywhere. Your university’s philosophy department had one, right? I love the idea of couples tying the not in the shadow of the original large-cast version of the famous work. Only in Paris can such a beautiful object be simply a part of everyday life.

They had their wedding planner, Anne of Fete in France, put together their dream day. One key was having a comfy chauffeured sedan for a day of roaming the dreamy streets of this gorgeous city. This was topped off by an elegant ceremony in the gardens of the Rodin museum in the heart of stately Saint-Germain.

Bryan and Natalie traveled to Paris from California for their elopement. I was happy to record the event so they could share memories with friends and family at their announcement party back in Sacramento after returning from their European honeymoon.

With their height and looks, they attracted a lot of attention in the city. Although striking in her dress, Natalie doesn’t have a gift for languages. As we roamed Paris, people on the street called out to her, “vous etes vraiment tres belle” and “qu’elle est jolie” all day long, yet I had to give her the translation of “beautiful” and “pretty” every time. I guess it’s nice for a bride to hear it in both languages.
