Elegant and stylish. These are the best words to describe Leng and Olivier. This bridal shoot that took us from Pont Alexandre III to the Ponts des Arts was a delightful promenade. It was so easy to capture the love in between these two!
As engagement and wedding photographers sometimes we have to be actors. Eunice contacts us for a “You and the City” shoot, a great way to remember their stay in Paris. We set a date, exchange ideas about locations, so far nothing extravagant. But then two days before the shoot we receive a secret email from John, her boyfriend of 10 years. He wants to surprise her by proposing during the shoot. He writes how he wants us to play a role in the proposal. Towards the end of the shoot he wants us to ask them to do a cheesy pose like him getting on one knee. Then he will take over by pulling out the ring and popping the question. We are a little stressed because we have to decide where and when! This was made difficult by the fact that it had to be at the end (so tears wouldn’t mess up her make-up at the beginning of the shoot). Further, the end of the shoot would be at night because a dusk shoot by the carousel had been scheduled.
Shooting documentary shots by flash can be very unflattering. The solution, steal lighting that is set up for a movie shoot. We won’t reveal our connections, but we had inside info on a movie shoot at the foot of the Trocadero. When we show up the movie lighting is waiting for us so all we have to do is give John his cue. We call for the one knee pose but to distract Eunice from the obvious, we ask her to look straight into Anthony’s lens and show some model attitude. Audrey is right beside them with a second camera waiting for the proposal. Gracefully, John pulls out the ring and softly calls his girlfriend’s name. Eunice, heeding Anthony’s call for model attitude won’t break character. John romantically calls again and Eunice, eyes still locked on the camera lens counters with “stop calling me we need to show attitude!” Such professionalism brings a slight chuckle from John and Audrey. This causes Eunice to finally glance down and realize a proposal is about to take place. The emotion that followed was captured forever in the images you can see in the slide show below.

Paris will always be the perfect destination for a romantic honeymoon. Call it “cliché” but it’s so true! Patricia and Stefen had an amazing wedding in the US and to continue celebrating, they decided to come in Paris. They were looking for a photographer in Paris to capture their honeymoon and we were glad they chose us. We had a lot of fun taking photos by the carroussel of the Eiffel Tower and on Trocadero.

Adam contacted us before taking his girlfriend on a surprise trip to Paris. Courtney had no idea where they were heading. Her colleagues pretended not to know, a friend packed her suitcase, Adam took care of her passport, and her boss covered her work schedule. What was supposed to be another week at work turned into a proposal in the stunning Jardin du Luxembourg in the most romantic city in the world. “Yes” was of course the answer to this beautiful love story. As an engagement and wedding photographer in Paris, it was amazing to be there for the actual proposal and capture the emotion of this wonderful moment in photos. Congratulations to the both of you.

Quand le Perou rencontre la France… Voici un couple absolument adorable! Patricia n’a cessé de sourire toute la journée de ce magnifique mariage dont la réception s’est tenue au Pré Catelan.
